Published on harpersbazaararabia.com, June 28

The closing of Paris Haute Couture Week was a captivating ode to the beauty of the elements.

For the final day of Haute Couture Week, designers honed in on the wonders of the weather, taking inspiration from ominous clouds and torrential downpours, while artfully depicting the dynamic journey of ever-changing seasons.

Bazaar Arabia rounds up all the highlights from Haute Couture Week Day Four.

Ashi Studio A/W 2024-2024 Haute Couture

The Saudi designer’s A/W 2024 Haute Couture collection truly captured the beauty of the transcendental. Titled, Sculpted Clouds, each garment was a visual showcase of manipulated textures – from wool to feathers, flowers and lace – while voluminous silhouettes and dramatic designs engulfed each model in three-dimensional art. With a neutral colour palette of black and beige, set against a back drop of a darkened room and storm-like sounds, Mohammed Ashi’s couture presentation was a strikingly rich, multi-sensory experience.

Robert Wun A/W 2024-2024 Haute Couture

Presenting his third couture collection, Robert Wun blurred the lines between form and function. Sculptural creations were imbued with the designer’s artful techniques and fabric manipulation, featuring intricate pleats, majestic drapes, distressed textures, and burn marks. Subdued flowers and butterfly appliqué were a constant accent throughout the collection, alongside ensembles inspired by stormy weather, transporting guests from the vibrancy of spring to the solemnness of winter.

Cheney Chan A/W 2024-2024 Haute Couture

Bespoke flora and fauna came to life in Chaney Chan’s 2024 A/W Haute Couture collection. Inspired by nature, and drawing on traditional Chinese design elements, the designer presented an oriental garden, comprised of bright hues, sculptural silhouettes, feathers, florals, and skillfully layered fabric.

ArdAzAei A/W 2024-2024 Haute Couture

ArdAzAei’s A/W 2024 Haute Couture collection highlighted the beauty of colour; pastel hues and bright pops contrasting with soft, flowing fabrics and celestial details. The collection had an ethereal essence, drawing inspiration from the beauty of flowers and evoking a fantasy of the divine feminine.
